Work has been full on lately, but I had booked a week off and packed it in with a trip to the US (spending time mainly Pennsylvania) followed by less than 24h in the UK and then off to Tenerife. If you have followed me for a while then you know Tenerife is where I grew up and still consider it my home.
It was wonderful being back, and far warmer than I had anticipated in November! It's amazing how easily you forget these things. I got to spend some time by the pool, at the beach and doing some walks in the mountains. Oh, and there was lots of food consumption! I'm already planning my next trip. One day I'd like the flexibility to spend several months there again. It will happen, but not yet.
The US was also lovely, especially in Autumn in the North East. We mainly stayed with friends and it was super relaxed and just a really great time. Sometimes you need those holidays right? Not just the go go go tourist ones.
I bought this yellow jumper in Tenerife, and it just makes me think of sunshine. It's super soft and I love the sparkly buttons. My tweed skirt has been worn several times on this blog, and it's just such a classic.
