Chanel Inspired Skirt

If you know me personally, then you know my style has always been very classic. Tweed pretty much sums that up. I really, really love it and to be honest when it comes to the high street, Zara really does it best. Hence why it's probably the only shop I can't walk past without going in!

This past month, I have been focusing a lot of energy into making my house a home. It's such a joy to buy a piece here and there and see the difference it makes, and the excitement it brings. Things as small as putting up hooks and a shoe rack when you first walk in,  have made such a difference! It really does do a lot for your happiness to make the most of the small things.

This weekend, my plan is to get the Christmas tree and decorations up, including lights. My neighbours have been putting me to shame, all the homes are so beautifully lit. Definitely a perk I didn't see coming about living in the UK again.

I hope your weekend is going well, and the gift wrapping isn't too intense :)

Burgundy and Blue

Zara Coat | Zara Top | Quay Sunglasses (similar) | Zara Jeans (similar) | Asos Loafers (similar

I love the blue and burgundy combination here, and the mixture of textures. This checked coat has gotten so much use, and I have only had it a couple of months or less. It's a great piece for the wardrobe, and adds something extra to an otherwise easily boring winter outfit.

This weekend has been really nice and low key. Next week I am looking forward to having a few days off and meeting a good friend in London at the weekend, who is flying in for a couple of days. Also have you put up your Christmas decorations yet? Seeing as I just moved back to the UK, I don't have any decorations yet, but I can't wait to start on it! My neighbourhood is already looking very festive, and I feel guilty for not contributing yet.

Burgundy in Autumn

Zara Dress | H&M Boots (similar here & here) | Furla Bag (similar colour

I managed to go home to Austria at the perfect time, with all the beautiful Autumn colours in full swing. I originally bought this dress to wear to my friends wedding in Northern Ireland, but have quickly realised just how versatile it is. Day to night to business, it works for all occasions. All you need to change is how you style it.

This weekend I was working, so I have had today off. Last week I spent a night in Central London with my boyfriend, and we visited Leicester square which already had a Christmas market set (which very much reminded me of Austria!) and then we tried Bubba Gump Shrimp, it was ridiculously good. Also, being that I grew up in Tenerife, churros are something I have missed out on over the years. If you are in London or nearby, I highly recommend the churro place near Bayswater station, and I rather think I may go again as soon as I get the chance!

Red Florals

Colour doesn't tend to be my thing, especially not red. However, this top just spoke to me, and it was on of those pieces that you try on and you just know you won't be leaving the shop without. Red is very in this season, and I think especially paired with a dark contrast it is very suited for Autumn.

Last weekend I headed into central London for the evening, and a friend of mine and I tried a really good Japanese restaurant called Aqua, which if you are ever in London and fancy trying, I would highly recommend. Other than that, the wedding a couple of weeks ago was lovely and although I only spent 24 hours in Northern Ireland, it was a nice break from the city.

This weekend, I have plans to hit the gym and get in some swimming for the most part. Sleeping is also high on my list. Being a working adult is exhausting! I hope you have a great weekend :)

Heathrow Terminal 2

I'm currently sat on the sofa, watching Escape to the Country. If you are English you probably know of it, where you see people touring potential homes to move into in the countryside. My second load of laundry is also on, as tomorrow morning I am headed to the airport to fly to Northern Ireland for a friend's wedding. Appropriately here is a look at a smart airport look, which could easily be taken straight to dinner and a cocktail or to a meeting. I love the sort of outfit that works for several scenarios.

What are your plans for the weekend?

Blush

Apricot Top | New Yorker Shorts | Furla Bag | Boohoo Sunglasses | Primark Slides

This is my last look from the Summer, which I am very sad to say, because it's my favourite season. The fluffy slides are ridiculous but I couldn't help myself, sadly they were not as comfortable as they look! It is a great outfit for a Summer day, and I can't tell you enough how much use I have gotten out of my furla bag. It's tiny, but fits all I need for a day around the city.

These next few days I have off, and going to the gym is at the top of my list, along with sleeping. How do you motivate yourself to go the gym after a week of not going?! Need to get on it.

I do look forward to sharing more outfits this Autumn/Winter now that I live in England, where my puffer coats won't be my only option!

London Tower Bridge

This has to be my favourite cut for a dress. It's incredibly flattering and comfortable to wear. I didn't know much about Missguided before moving here, but they have some really nice pieces. It's a similar price range to boohoo, so perfect for trendy pieces. I paired it with a comfortable pair of neutral wedges, and I am so sad it's now too cold to wear them. Guess I just need to go on holiday somewhere hot! (A girl can dream right?!)

I have been to London a few times since I moved back, but I haven't done nearly enough exploring. If you live here, or have visited some cool sites, please let me know. I am not originally from this area in the UK, so I have a lot to explore.

Hay Bales

Welcome to the new design layout of Stiletto in the Cloud! I am so happy to finally have a blog layout that I love. It took a long time to sort out because I wanted to learn how to code myself. Unfortunately, being a newly graduated full time vet just meant it was absolutely not going to happen anytime soon. I do hope you love the new design as much as I do.  I found this one on etsy which is a great place to search many options.

This look was shot in summer, just before I moved from Austria to the UK. I loved how the pictures turned out, and I do hope you will forgive me for sharing them so late. I have some content backed up which I hope to share over the next few weeks.

It was my birthday a couple of weeks ago, and if you follow me on instagram, you will have seen all about it on instastories. I went to the Harry Potter Studios, and I felt transported back to the magic of where it all started. Truly, I recommend any Harry Potter fans to go there if ever possible.

Work has been busy, and I am learning so much every day. I find I get home exhausted, but I wouldn't change it for anything. It's stressful at times, but also very rewarding when my patients come back feeling better.

Bank Holiday Weekend

Zara Top | Furla Bag (similar) | New Yorker Shorts (similar) | Asos Flats (very similar) | Boohoo Sunglasses (similar

This month has gone by so quickly! This all considering I still don't have wifi at home. Working as a vet has been really interesting, but also stressful and I am learning so much every single day. I imagine it's the same with most jobs when you are fresh out of university. Living in the UK again has been so nice, and heading into central London whenever possible is something I need to take more advantage of. I have been decorating my new home and getting settled, so I am hoping that in September things will be running more smoothly.

This weekend I went down to Poole to visit my brother. We did a boat trip around Brownsea Island and some of the other small ones. I wore this new top from Zara, and distressed denim shorts to make it more casual. Yesterday was spent by the pool reading a new book, it's called Divas by Rebecca Chance and I'm finding it quite entertaining. Today, I am just heading to a yoga class and then I will probably hang out at the pool and soak up the most of the sunshine.

I hope you also had a lovely weekend!

Art Studio

On the way to a dinner party, we stopped by a friends art gallery and I couldn't resist snapping some photos. You can check out his website here. He works with a lot of glass, designing incredible pieces, some even functional as well as stunning. This top was one of those sales purchases I simply couldn't resist. It's very flowy and easy to wear, plus it allows for a big lunch or dinner, if you know what I mean.

I have now officially moved back to the UK! If you follow me on instagram, then you have probably seen the very intense journey it took. You can't fly animals into England in cabin, only in cargo. I wasn't willing to do that to Cindy, as she is an indoor cat and would probably not survive it, not to mention the risks of travelling in summer with the heat. So I flew into London last Tuesday, rented a car on Wednesday and drove through the Channel Tunnel to Paris. Then flew to Vienna, and the next day flew back to Paris with my precious cargo (Cindy) to drive back into England. Very very happy we made it here safe.

I am also starting my new job as a vet today, terrifying, so please wish me luck!
