Denim on denim can be a tricky one, and one which can easily go wrong. Below I have compiled some of my key tips to do it right. Of course everyone is different, but if you have been reading here for a while, then you know I like to keep things relatively neutral.
1. Don't match your denim.
Unless they come as a set you will rarely get them exactly the same shade, plus it's just too much denim, and can be overwhelming. I like to mix a dark wash with a light wash.
2. Try to avoid blue accessories.
You don't want to end up looking smirf-like. This is mainly key when you are wearing blue on blue denim.
3. Don't over-accessorize.
By having two different pieces of denim going on already, keeping the accessories fairly cohesive will keep your outfit from looking too busy. A pop of colour is great, just not several pops of colour (reserve those for a one tone, neutral outfit).
I hope you are having a fabulous start to the week. I'm working at the clinic again this week, which I am thoroughly enjoying, but waking up at 6am everyday is hard work! I am not a morning person by any means, but I desperately want to be, so I'm trying to embrace it. Ditching my eye mask has helped (although I do miss it terribly). I even got up early on Sunday morning to shoot these photos and avoid falling off the bandwagon with my early bird routine. If you have any tips on becoming a morning person, I would love to hear them!
