Athleisure & UPDATE

Not all walk outfits need to be workout ones, and living in the countryside, I love to sometimes go for  walks in the fields and forests around me. A pair of comfortable shorts and tank top paired with trainers are perfect for it. I am not into hiking, so when I say walk I mean leisurely stroll.

I'm currently writing this post from the car as my mother drives me to the clinic, where I am doing practice. I did my first surgery on Wednesday which was incredible and makes me so excited for the future. I really can't wait to become a vet.

I have decided to switch up my posting schedule to once a week, rather than twice. Simply put, I can't keep up with my current workload, while also producing the kind of quality content I would like. I really want to improve on my photography skills and spend more time styling outfits and scouting good locations. I will also be entering my final year as a vet student, and it will be extremely hectic. My plan, however, is to post weekly outfit posts and occasionally if I want to post something else (e.g.: travel, collage inspiration, etc), it will be a bonus. Hopefully you will continue to enjoy this blog as much as I do.

Have a great weekend!

Bow Scarf

This week I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. Playing around with the items I already own to create an outfit that is unique is what inspired me to start this blog in the beginning. I love the scarf tied in a bow at a back, adding a touch of colour and unexpectedness. I also really like how the front is a choker style which fits in perfectly with the current trend.

I hope you are all having a good start to the week. I am spending the next few weeks doing clinic practice. It's always such a great reminder of why I study so hard all year, and knowing I am getting closer and closer to becoming a vet.

Sunflower Fields

One of the beautiful things about summer in Austria, are the sunflowers. It's something I didn't have living in the Canaries. Last year,  I tried to shoot outfits with them several times, but only succeeded once (see here), because they turn their heads down when the sun goes down. I usually shoot outfits in the evenings, when the sun isn't as bright. Luckily, this year I have my canon camera and I can regulate the lighting, so it was easier to take photos.

On another note, I have started working on my dissertation and it's so hard to have to get back into being school productive. All I want to do is go somewhere tropical and lie on the beach all day, preferably sipping a cocktail and with a good book. I hope your summer looks more like this :).

We had a big drop in temperature last week, which has luckily started picking up again. I mean, I need more summer. So I wore this slightly warmer outfit (I rarely wear jeans when it's really hot). It was even starting to rain as we took this photos.

Yesterday I did some shopping in the sales. I didn't get too much, but  a few key pieces, including a new pair of distressed denim shorts. You will see them over the next couple of weeks on here. Have a great week!

Summer Casual

Mango Dress (similar here & here) | Stradivarius Wedges (similar) | Asos Sunglasses

I live in this dress during the summer. It's a soft jersey material and extremely comfortable for those casual hot days. A great pool dress or to run errands, I even like to lounge at home in it.

I really want to go an see 'Me Before You' again, and I never go to the cinema twice for the same movie. It's just a thought at the moment, but we will see. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Burgundy Summer Dress

This is such a good summer all occasion dress. Being chiffon, it's light and airy and therefore perfect for the summer heat, as well as dressing it up or down depending on the occasion. I wore this to my friends graduation ceremony and it easily transitioned from day to night.

I hope you are all having a great start to the week. It's really hot here in Austria hitting around 35°C. I'm hoping to go to the pool at least one day this week. Also I have stared re-watching Desperate Housewives in german, in the hopes of improving it a little (plus knowing the storyline helps a LOT!).

Pool Cover-Up

I passed my exam and arrived back in Austria yesterday. It feel so good to be done with studying for a couple of months. These photos are from when I was studying by the pool. I plan on doing lots more pool days, but this time with a good book instead of never-ending lists of diseases.

There is something very classy and elegant about a maxi cover-up, and it's excellent at helping shield you a little from the sun. A bun, maxi and a good pair of sunglasses can make all the difference.

What is your favourite thing to wear to the pool/beach?

Happy 4th of July to all my U.S. readers!

These colours are so iconic for summer and make me dream of yachting in the south of France (one day guys, it will happen). Growing up on a boat (my first year was spent travelling through Europe), I have always loved anything nautical and my mum used to dress me up in little sailor outfits. This top with the hem detail is stunning and one of my new favourite pieces. Being a tunic, it's incredibly lightweight and perfect for hot weather while still protecting your arms and shoulders from potentially burning. I'm sharing some more tunic options below.

I have spent the past few days by the pool studying, which has been so lovely, and I wish I had gone sooner. These next couple of days I will be in my apartment studying for my last exam (hopefully!) before I can take a break for summer.

Today, I am joining two beautiful bloggers, Michelle (Michelle's Paige) and Ana (Northwest Blonde). I love their style and how well they do summer attire! We are all sharing our red, white & blue outfits, so I hope they will inspire you too.

I have been spending the past few days at the pool studying with my friend, which has been incredible. Studying doesn't get nicer. Since the weather has been so hot, it's been lovely to take a dip in the pool in the breaks and cool off. Also they have really good cheese nuggets and chips, the perfect unhealthy study snack!

I hope you are having a great day, and are feeling inspired and excited that summer is here.
