Bag Reissue

I love what I did to this bag! By wrapping the strap around inside, I managed to take it from a crossbody bag to a top handle/clutch style. Every now and again I find myself hit with inspiration, and love the results. The weather seems to be warming up (feel like I have been fooled several times before!) so I was excited to wear these heels again. They are a bit of an understated statement piece, which I think really adds to the outfit.

I am heading back to university today, after a lovely long weekend at home. I have had my mother in full photographer mode, as well as my boyfriend while here, trying to capture lots of outfit photos since I have a whole other wardrobe here. I hope your week is off to a good start. I'm glad I only have to face three days of school before the weekend, it makes the shock of being back at lessons slightly less drastic.

Blazer

I love how bright these photos turned out. I am still learning when it comes to lighting and location, but definitely feel like I am getting somewhere lately. This outfit is a great one for when you have somewhere a little smarter to go to. This is a typical outfit I might wear to an exam during winter or autumn, since we are expected to dress up for those.

I am back home in Austria now for Easter and hoping to change up my wardrobe a bit here, so I have some more interesting items when I am back at university. Somtimes it can be rather challenging trying to put together outfits when you are missing pieces that would go perfectly.

Stripes & Prints

If you have been reading here for a while, you know I love neutrals and colour and pattern are not something I own a lot of. I decided to try and mix this pale pink striped shirt with a print skirt, and I love the result. The reason I think it works is because the shirt is quite toned down, and in these pictures it's appearing even paler due to the brightness.

This week seems to be an easy one, since I only have a couple of days of lessons and then I'm heading home for Easter. Do you have any fun plans for this holiday?

Spring/Summer 2016 Runway Trends

I always forget what I saw on the runway by the time spring rolls around, so I thought I would share my favourite trends which I am looking forward to trying. I have also linked some more wearable options below the runway looks.

This weekend I am hoping the weather will be nice, so I can take some outfit photos. It has been sunny for the past couple of days, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

What is your favourite trend to try this spring/summer?

Skiing

F&F Jacket (similar) | F&F Ski Trousers (similar) | Head Jumper (similar) | Humanic Boots (similar & my next years purchase!)

Here are some photos from my weekend away skiing! I really love skiing, and it's something I have done since I was a child, but only every year or two for a few days. Since moving away from the Canary Islands, I have really started to try and improve my skiing by going regularly at least once every year. I went with a big group of friends, so it was really nice to ski with other people and push myself to improve. This is the outfit I have, and I love it. The only downside is you can't be seen very well, which if it's very foggy (which at the top it was!) you are at risk of not being seen. I always rent a helmit along with my skis, and get it in black or red, so I would recommend doing so if you want to resemble a snow bunny (like I totally do!).

I hope you all had a great weekend!

This is a very cute but casual everyday outfit. I love the faux leather trim on the skirt, since it's a little different to what you usually see. I wore this to go up the hill for a quick snack (insert lots of chips) after last Friday night out. I also wrapped a silk scarf around my wrist for some colour and I think it looks really good, inspiration from my Olivia Palermo post.

Today I am heading to the mountains with some friends for a skiing weekend. I'm really excited since I ended up not going skiing at all around Christmas and New Years, so it will be the first time this winter season. Hopefully I won't be too bad! What are your plans for the weekend?

This is the second look I wore to the veterinary conference the weekend before last. Having chosen the veterinary field, there really will be a limited amount of times where I'm required to really dress up. Therefore I like to keep it smart but always still casual, nobody wants to be uncomfortable and stick out like a sore thumb. This outfit is warm and put together without taking it too far. Having good basics that are well fitted and have a good cut are great to have, because you can re-combine them in so many ways.

This weekend was a fun one. I went out Friday night after a very hard workout class, which I then suffered for the entire weekend. Lots of squats were done, while simultaneously weight lifting. Sunday a group  of us from uni had a vegan meal, and it was so good. I love trying new vegan food, even though I'm not vegan.

Celebrity Style: Olivia Palermo

This look from Olivia Palermo is fabulous. I love her style, and how she often combines neutral and classic pieces with one or two very unique or interestingly cut items. Wearing a maxi vest as a dress with a fitted belt, and then adding pops of colour with accessories, is a little different to what I have seen lately. I think the silk scarf wrapped around your wrist is a great way to add an element of surprise, but it also adds to the sophisticated look.

What do you guys think of this post? Let me know if you would like to see more. I love seeing these in magazines, but often find I don't like the similar pieces chosen, or that they aren't quite similar enough. I hope you all have a great weekend! I am looking forward to sleeping in.

This weekend I went to a veterinary conference, and this is what I wore the first day. I like that the blazer and blouse make it more smart, but the cuffed jeans keep it casual. It's also an incredibly comfortable outfit and great for this time of year, since the weather is so unpredictable. I wish I could have slept in this weekend, but sometimes there are more interesting important things to do. It's scary to think about actually working as a vet, and all the stress and responsibility that comes with it. At the end of the day, all I think is that saving even one animal makes it all worth it though.

Did you do anything interesting this weekend? I would love to hear!
