I wore this dress out in the evening in Turkey. My best friend got it for my birthday last year, and it's so comfortable and easy to wear. Plus, the perfect item to pack since it doesn't wrinkle.

This weekend I celebrated my birthday again with some friends over for drinks before heading to a houseparty and then out. It took me the whole weekend to recover but that's the perfect weekend sometimes. It's getting quite cold, and my hunt for new snowboots is starting. I'm looking for some flat faux-fur (always!) ones, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know!

Kemer, Turkey

My boyfriend and I took a trip to Kemer, Turkey last week. We were looking for a resort style holiday, focusing mainly on a nice hotel with good food and gorgeous beaches. We stayed at the Otium Life Hotel. The hotel itself was amazing, and I can definitely recommend it. The staff were so nice and helpful and the food was incredible. My favourite part, without a doubt, was the private beach. The water was so warm and I loved to just float on my lilo.

We visited the town of Phaselis one day, which has ancient ruins. It was very cool to walk around the ancient town, which even showed where Main Street used to be. Our main goal was to find somewhere to snorkel, since sandy beaches aren't really ideal. There weren't many people, since you had to go into a national park in order to get to it, but there seemed to be quite a few locals. I only snorkelled for a bit, but there were so many fish right at the shore, and you could see them just like in an aquarium but better!

We went to Antalya for the day to visit the aquarium and harbour. It was only about an hour by bus, which picked us up directly outside our hotel. The aquarium has the largest tunnel in the world, which was such a cool feature. We then walked to the harbour from the aquarium for over an hour, not an easy task in the sweltering heat, so maybe take a taxi! The harbour had so many pirate ships, which seems to be very popular with the tourists.

On my birthday, we went parasailing, which was one of the best experiences I have had! You totally have to try it if you aren't scared of heights. The views were gorgeous. We did it right at the hotel, which was a big bonus, and then took a quick boat trip around the area.

September was a really good time to go, just when the weather was starting to cool down in Austria. It was around 30 degrees everyday. The sunsets were also incredible every evening.

Grid Print

Here are my first pictures with my new camera! I am so excited about it, and took a bunch of outfit shots while I was in Turkey. We stayed in the Kemer area, and it was incredible. The weather was gorgeous every single day and the sea was surprisingly warm, since I grew up swimming in the colder Atlantic ocean. I got back to University on Sunday and have started back at classes. I'm happy to be getting back into a routine though after a long and awesome, but busy Summer.

This top is my new favourite addition to my wardrobe. I have loved the new grid trend, and definitely look forward to getting more grid print items. I love how it looks with white shorts, giving it a white on white look, which is the perfect beach holiday attire in my opinion. I wore this outfit on my birthday last Friday. My boyfriend took me parasailing and it was without a doubt the highlight of the trip. I will be sharing some more photos from our holiday on Friday, so be sure to check back then!

Pink Cardigan

I wore this to go to Bratislava (Slovakia) for the day and show my brother and his girlfriend around there, since it's so close to the border with Austria. It was somewhat chilly, so this pink cardigan was the perfect practical accessory. Since we were having lunch by the Danube river, I dressed it up a little with a silver necklace and my silver sandals. I also happen to love this crossbody bag for sightseeing.

It is actually my birthday today, and I am celebrating it in Turkey still. Love that I get to be away for my birthday this year. I got a new camera, which I have already been experimenting with here in Turkey and can't wait to share photos of! Hope you all have some fun plans for the weekend!

Khaki

I wore this to visit some Roman ruins with my brother and his girlfriend, who were visiting from the UK. It was a cloudy/sunny day, one of those where you really don't know how to dress. I went for this casual, yet cute outfit and added the khaki vest for added warmth as well as colour.

I am currently in Turkey with my boyfriend for the week. I have only ever visited Istanbul before and it was just for a day on a cruise, so it's nice to be back and see a different area. I am taking lots of pictures, so you will see all about it when I get back.

Oversized T-Shirt & Skinny Jeans

I bought this T-Shirt on a whim, when I had 5 minutes to spare at H&M. It was on sale, and I just loved the colour and fit. Loose fit tops are definitely what I prefer, and I love how they look with skinny jeans or leggings. This will look great too when it's warmer with boots.

In other news, I am flying out to Turkey tonight with my boyfriend. I can't wait for warm weather and sunshine, but now to pack! Also, yesterday I went to Vienna Fashion Week, which you may have seen if you follow me on snapchat (stilettocloud). I have gone for the past three years now and love it, it's always such a great experience and I really like getting inspired by the new designs. I don't know how the internet will be in Turkey, but I will try to keep my instagram updated, and I also have a couple of posts lined up. Chat soon!

Backpack

I bought a backpack! If you know me, then you know I haven't owned a backpack since before I finished school. I just never liked the look of them. However, I was recently inspired by someone at University who has a cute fashionable one, great for farm trips. Mainly I wanted one for these and also to have for hikes/walks/sightseeing. I found it on major sale at a designer outlet near Vienna. What are your thoughts on backpacks? I would love to know!

I have spent the past week doing sightseeing with my brother and his girlfriend. Yesterday we did a daytrip to Vienna, which is always a lot of fun. It was freezing though, so temperatures are definitely dropping. Hopefully next week I will be somewhere sunny (more on that later!).

Striped Skirt & Sandals

I wore this outfit a few weeks back when I was at university moving flats. This was great to battle the heat in, and go out for a casual lunch or shopping stroll. Skirts were a must-have in the 38 degree weather (which has now cooled down a little). It is such a comfortable stretchy material too.

My brother is visiting from the UK, so we are doing all the touristy things. Think we are heading to Vienna tomorrow for the day. It is one of my favourite cities! I am also getting excited about starting back at university in a few weeks, and can't wait to get my timetable for classes (fingers crossed it's a good one!). Hope you all have a great weekend.

White Maxi & Denim

Mango Dress (similar here & here) | Stradivarius Jacket (similar) | Deichmann Wedges (similar) | Boohoo Sunglasses (similar)

I really love the look of a maxi dress with a denim jacket. It's perfect for those cooler Summer nights or just during a cloudy day. I paired it with wedges to keep it casual and very daytime too. I would like to have worn it with flats too, but it's unfortunately too long for that, and I would sweep the floor with it. I think it's important to wear a maxi with a cropped, fitted jacket or it can easily make you look shapeless and swamped. This is also the perfect way to transition Summer dresses into Autumn.

Yesterday I visited the largest underground lake in Europe. It isn't the largest natural lake though, since it used to be a mine. We got to go on quick boat trip too which was incredible, but unfortunately neither my camera nor phone could photograph it, since they are not good enough quality or made for photography in the dark. If you are interested, you can read more here. I definitely would recommend it, but bring something warm to wear, because it was freezing (and I was wearing shorts & sandals...)!
