Pink Striped Shirt

I love a good preppy outfit. I would necessarily describe it as my overall style, but it's definitely one of my favourites! I bought this shirt recently, and I love the colour and style so much. It will be a good one to wear for exams since we are required to dress smartly for them. I paired it with my favourite black skinny jeans and trusty black boots. It was a somewhat windy day, so a bun it was for the hair! I also added some simple white pearl earrings, which I have had for years.

Esztergom & Visegrad

This is my last post from when I went away for a weekend during Easter to Slovakia. You can check out the gorgeous Chateau Hotel my mum and I stayed at here and here. It was about a half hour drive from the hotel to Esztergom, which is located in Hungary. It was actually the capital city between the 10th and mid-13th Century. The Basilica is the main attraction here, and the biggest building in Budapest. The altarpiece is the largest painting in the world painted on a single piece of canvas. It was amazing to see.

Next we drove for about another half hour, to Visegrad, where the Visegrad Castle (or ruins to be exact) is located. It is the remains of the Early Renaissance summer palace of King Matthias Corvinus of Hungary. Here we had lunch and took a walk around the Castle. We definitely got lucky with the weather, as there were very few clouds in the sky, so perfect for a day of sightseeing.

Guys, my parasitology exam is over for now, I have another exam next week and then another the week after before the actual finals start! Vet school huh? This weekend the weather is supposed to be good, in the 20 degrees, so I am looking forward to spending some time outside. Tomorrow there is a barbecue with a bunch of people, which should be fun, not sure yet what I am taking as I don't eat meat. Maybe some potatoes and possibly fish? Any suggestions? I am very picky when it comes to cooked vegetables. What is the weather like where you are? Hope you have a great weekend anyhow!

Navy Blouse & Heels

I think this may actually be my favourite outfit on the blog so far. I love wearing flowy blouses over a basic spaghetti strap top with skinny jeans. I have had these lightwashed jeans forever and feel like they went perfectly with this outfit, to stop it from being too dark. I wore this outfit when I was at the Chateau a couple weekends ago (Part 1 & Part 2).

This week is going to involve me doing lots of revision, as I have a parasites test this week, and it is going to be huge. There are so many latin names to learn, aswell as lifecycles, delightful. Better get back to the revision. Hope you are all having a great start to the week.

Hotel Chateau Bela (Part 2)

Happy Saturday! Hope you are all having a great start to the weekend. Today I am sharing the second part of my hotel review pictures. Here are some interior shots. The first few are of our room when we arrived, it was very spacious and there was also a entrance hallway which I forgot to take pictures of where the wardrobes were. The bathroom was amazing, I hope to have one like that one day. I really loved the interior of this hotel, there were so many lounge rooms, all beautifully decorated.

The staff were all wondeful and very helpful. My only complaint would be the children in the restaurant in the evening, they were placed in the nicer of the two rooms both nights, and we were not aware children would be in that one. A few people moved, due to the loudness. The restaurant was very fancy, and there was no dress code, which definitely didn't fit too well. I have been to many hotels when I lived in the Canaries and there was always a dress code at the restaurants, and they were far less fancy than this one.

Last night I went to see Swan Lake and it was amazing! Makes me wish I was a ballerina. I absolutely loved the tutus! It was a lovely change to go to the theatre instead of the cinema, and get all dressed up.

Mint Green Jumper

This is what I usually like to travel in during the colder days. There is no better way to travel stylish yet comfy, except with leggings (or I suppose a maxi dress in Summer). To add some colour I added this mint oversized jumper (to ensure the booty is covered). Can you tell how much I love these sunglasses? Can't stop wearing them, they go with everything!

I am now back at University and exams are starting to show their ugly head again. The good news is the weather has been absolutely fabulous this weekend. Took a small walk up the mountains on Saturday and had lunch there. I love going out for some fresh air in the mornings, then coming home and snuggling up in bed for the afternoon. That is my idea of a great weekend. What did you get up to this weekend?

Hotel Chateau Bela (Part 1)

Last weekend my mum and I took a trip to the south of Slovakia (one of the perks of living in Central Europe, being able to just wander in and out of countries haha). We stayed at this gorgeous hotel, called Chateau Bela . Today I am sharing some pictures of the outside of it, and next week I will share part 2, featuring our room and the interior. We were lucky enough to have really nice weather, although still coat weather, the Sun was shining.

The hotel is set in a small village, at the top of a hill. It is surrounded by stunning grounds, and even a forest to one side. They have animals there so it's great to visit with children too. I loved the architectecture and style. It also has an outdoor swimming pool, but unfortunately it was too cold for it to be in use.

Grey Knit Cardigan

So I just realized I am basicall a walking advert for Tommy Hilfiger and Zara with this outfit, but they are two of my favourite shops so I suppose that´s ok. I love pairing neutrals with a pop of colour like with my bag. This is something I will wear on a regular day to class or to run errands. This cable-knit cardigan is so comfortable and warm and it can be buttoned up to take on the role of a scarf. It has been very windy here in Austria, so unfortunately the boots are still out! I haven´t been so impatient to wear my flats in so long, if ever. This bag is the perfect size and I love that it can be worn as a shoulder bag or by the handles.

Today I am sadly on my way back to Uni. Being home is always so relaxing and a nice break from the constant studying since most of the time I don´t do any work when here. Now it will be all about buckling down and starting to get ready for finals as they fast approach me.
