Relaxing Night In

There really is nothing I love more than a good night in to really unwind and relax. Usually I will do this during the weekend if I don´t go out in the evening. In this stressful, busy, fast-paced world we live in it is definitely important to find time for yourself.

1. Run a hot bubble bath. I find this to be one of the most effective ways to relax. I love using bath salts and bath bombs, or if you have run out of those, just use your regular shower gel.

2. Put on a facemask. This is the perfect moment to make time for a facemask, since you won´t be going anywhere, and you will feel a hundred times better afterwards.

3. Make a hot cup of tea. I prefer fruit tea or green tea. My favourite is ´Winter Time´ by Teekane. Sometimes I will add honey too.

4. Wear your comfiest pyjamas. Warm, long-sleeved (especially in Winter) are perfect to really achieve that cosy feeling we are going for.

5. Snuggle up in bed or on the sofa with a blanket. The warmer and comfier the better! I prefer being in bed, that way I can just turn off the lights and go to sleep.

6. Watch your favourite series/movie or read a book. I like to use this time to catch up on series, but sometimes I just want to switch off from technology and take to a good book (plus if it´s a hard copy you can take it to the bath with no fear).

7. Add some chocolate/popcorn or even a healthy snack. I´m a snacker and a chocolate addict, that pretty much sums it up.

8. Get an early night. Now for me this is typically around 10pm during the weekend, since I normally aim for 11pm during the week. At weekends I can easily get distracted and end up going to bed way later, which makes for an unproductive next day.

What do you do when you need to unwind and relax? I would love to hear your tips!
